This three day course is geared towards individuals who specialize in sales tax and are looking for a workshop forum to discuss emerging issues in sales and use tax. The workshop will offer in-depth discussions of current issues and the topics will vary between offerings of the course. The format of the course will be a presentation of the issue by the facilitator, followed by a in-depth discussion session by all participants. Participants should have an intermediate level of understanding of sales and use tax concepts and a basic understanding of all the topics scheduled for the course. This course qualifies for 23 hours of CPE. This class does not require any advance preparation. The prerequisite for this class is four years sales tax experience or equivalent.

Rates are available for The Hilton San Diego through the Sales Tax Institute for $199.00/night (single/double) plus tax for May 6 -8, 2008. The same rate will be available for three nights before and after these dates on a space available basis. Room block will be held until April 15, 2008. Reservations received after this date will be accepted on a space available basis. Rooms will be guaranteed for late arrival to the traveler’s credit card. Reservations not cancelled 72 hours prior to date of arrival will be charged one night’s lodging. Hotel reservations should be made during the registration process.
