Efficient Sales Tax Compliance Webinar

Sales tax compliance is of the utmost importance. States are cracking down on companies – they are getting stricter on whether they will abate any penalties, and notices are being issued more frequently for minor issues. Additionally, as states require more online filing for sales tax, there are more chances for input errors.

But it doesn’t stop there! The time frame for filing sales tax returns is very short – you have to wait until the prior month is closed, but the first returns are due to the state by the 15th calendar day. And most companies need to gather data for the returns from multiple sources then get it into the right format for the returns. So how do you balance accuracy with efficiency? Can you make your sales tax return process more efficient without incurring significant risk?

In this 90-minute webinar, sales tax expert Diane Yetter of the Sales Tax Institute will teach you how to efficiently gather the right data for sales tax returns, how to minimize the number of times the data is touched and teach you where the data goes on the form. She’ll teach you how to manage exemptions and explain how they need to be shown on the returns. She’ll also discuss automation tools that are available to help with the process.
