Texas has announced dates and additional details for the state’s 2018 tax amnesty program. The amnesty program will run from May 1, 2018 to June 29, 2018. The program applies to periods prior to January 1, 2018 and only includes liabilities that have not been previously reported to the Texas Comptroller. Penalties and interest on tax due will be waived for qualifying taxpayers participating in the program. The program does not apply to periods currently under audit review, IFTA taxes, PUC Gross Receipts assessments, Local Motor Vehicle Tax and Unclaimed Property payments.
