Effective March 1, 2024, the Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) begins administering local sales, use, rental and lodging taxes for the City of Tuskegee. The governing body of the City of Tuskegee adopted a resolution in January 2024 to authorize the DOR to perform the administration and collection of these taxes.
The first City of Tuskegee local tax return filed with the DOR is for the tax period ending March 31, 2024 and will be due on or before April 22, 2024. Taxpayers should report these taxes using the Local Tax Return on the My Alabama Taxes website.
