Missouri Introduces Legislation to Adopt Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement

On January 3, 2018, Missouri introduced two pieces of legislation to adopt and implement the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax (SST) Agreement. Both bills state that they would become effective on January 1, 2020. Both bills would direct any additional revenue from participation in the SST Agreement to specified funds. Missouri has previously proposed legislation to comply with the provisions necessary to become a member of the SST Agreement including in 2013 when it passed the legislature but was vetoed by the Governor.
