YETTER Tax and the Sales Tax Institute is a leading national sales tax consulting and training firm headquartered in Chicago and led by Diane Yetter. We are looking for the right Nerd to add to our team! Our virtual team operates from home offices throughout the US, getting together online weekly for meetings and quarterly face-to-face team building activities. For someone who is a self-starter and enjoys getting a wide range of things done, this could be an ideal position and place to continue to learn! We are seeking a full-time team member who is looking to jumpstart their career path as a Staff Consultant that makes a real impact in our clients’ businesses and lives.
Our small but mighty team is expanding due to the growth of our business. Our clients’ industries vary and include e-commerce, publishing, environmental services, software/computer services, professional services, manufacturing, and construction. Our projects include nexus studies, voluntary disclosures, registrations, audit defense, research, planning, tax technology implementations and supporting fast growing e-commerce businesses with almost all their sales tax needs. What don’t we do? Compliance! For that work we partner with other providers to ensure our clients are well supported, automate their compliance process, or we train them. Don’t have sales tax experience? No worries! We’re looking for someone who is interested in this field and would like to explore sales tax as a lifelong career. As a nationwide industry leader and educator in sales tax, we’ll ensure you get the best training and experience to set you up for a successful career!
As a member of our team, you will also support our Sales Tax Institute training programs and help create and support our great resources. Our growing Sales Tax Nerd Community will welcome you with open arms, and you will have the opportunity to engage with the Community members and participate in our highly sought-after training programs.
Do you have the following skills?
- Excellent communications skills over the phone and in writing
- Experience servicing clients in an office environment (remote or local)
- The ability to work autonomously to successfully complete projects
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, in particular advanced Excel functionality
- Experience working with software programs to track data, ideally financial information
- Demonstrated 1-2 years of accounting experience (preferably sales tax, but not necessary)
