The New York State Department of Revenue released a publication specifying the combined state and local sales and use tax rates for each county or locality, effective March 1, 2022. The publication lists the local sales and use tax rates applicable to sales and installations of commercial solar energy systems equipment. Following the list is a section which outlines eight counties with the exemption for commercial solar energy systems equipment.
