Our virtual team operates from home offices throughout the US and enjoys face-to-face team building activities a few times a year. Our clients’ industries vary and include e-commerce, publishing, environmental services, software/computer services, professional services, manufacturing, and construction. Our projects include nexus studies, sales tax risk and liability analyses, voluntary disclosures, registrations, audit defense, research, planning, tax technology implementations and supporting fast growing e-commerce businesses with almost all their sales tax needs. What don’t we do? Recurring Compliance! For that work we partner with other providers to ensure our clients are well supported, automate their compliance process, or train them.

Purpose of Role:
The purpose of this role is to support financial operations, reporting, and system administration for the Yetter Tax and Sales Tax Institute Organization. The individual will be responsible for Billing/Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Report processing, and Project Management Traffic Control (Wrike System), Financial Reporting, administrative duties, and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Job Responsibilities (approximate % of time):
35% Accounts Payable/Billing
- Perform all activities related to paying bills to vendors including reviewing, coding, and processing payments related to recurring purchases as well as for our in-person events
- Process and send all client billings for the organization to include subscription billing and coordinating these subscription billings in our CRM system
- Process 401K payroll deferral submission; process payroll financial entries; process all financial mail and enter deposits; maintain comprehensive and organized filing system.
15% Accounts Receivable
- Perform account receivable functions including processing payments, deposits, collections, and follow-up.
15% General Administration and HR Related Duties
- Assist with employee census and updates
- Manage Business and Health Insurance policies
- Vendor/subcontractor management
- Employee onboarding/offboarding tasks to include DOR registrations, labor posters, and health insurance and 401K registrations/cancellations
10% Expense Reports
- Process and reconcile expense reports and credit card entries via SAP Concur.
- Serve as main point of contact for Concur questions and training
10% Financial
- Establish and maintain regular financial tasks to include monitoring bank accounts and reconciling credit cards, apportionment, and commission tracking.
10% Wrike Project Management Traffic Control
- Traffic control (monitoring due dates/budgets, etc.) for all active projects via internal Wrike project management system.
Other special projects
- In support of the above responsibilities as assigned.
Travel
- Semi-annual team gatherings in Chicago or other location
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline of accounting, finance, business, or related fields
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bookkeeping/Accounting: Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, and first-hand knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Technology: Expert experience with QuickBooks Online for accounts payable, invoicing, receiving payments; experience working in a project management system; experience working with SAP Concur; experience working in a CRM system; HR experience preferred
- Spreadsheets/Database/Systems: Ability to expertly understand, create, and maintain spreadsheets, database applications, and systems primarily in excel.

Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 (Salary range depends on experience, education, and scope of responsibilities.)
