Chicago’s Cook County Retail Economic Development Incentives

The Cook County Board approved an ordinance establishing the Cook County Retail Economic Development Incentives Program. The program provides incentives to encourage the establishment or maintenance of retail businesses and jobs, enhanced revenues for all the People of Cook County, and cooperation with all municipal corporations. The County could match tax rebates up to 50% of the County’s sales tax. Rebate incentives will not be granted to those located in TIF districts.
