Effective July 30, 2026, Idaho taxpayers may file amended Form 850, Idaho Sales and Use Tax Return, online through the Idaho State Tax Commission’s TAP portal at Idaho TAP. The online option makes it easier for taxpayers to track account activity and streamlines the amended return filing process.
The new online filing option is a practical improvement for Idaho taxpayers and supports more efficient tax administration. Previously, paper filings could result in mailing delays and slower processing by the State Tax Commission. Because taxpayers also had limited visibility into submitted filings, some may have inadvertently submitted duplicate copies of the same amended return.
