South Carolina sales tax holiday.

South Carolina has enacted a sales tax holiday that begins Friday, August 1, 2003 and continues through Sunday, August 3, 2003. This exemption, applicable to both state and local taxes, is granted toward purchases such as clothes, shoes, and school supplies. Items such as jewelry, cosmetics, furniture, clothing and shoe rentals, and items purchased for use in a trade or business are not exempt.
