Room Rate and Reservations
We will post the reduced room rate and booking deadline here when they are confirmed. Join the Basics of Sales and Use Tax notification list to hear first.
To make a room reservation
Once the rate is announced, call ULCC Reservations at (312) 427-7800 or email [email protected] and tell them you are with the Sales Tax Institute Basics of Sales and Use Tax course to receive the exclusive reduced rate.
If two attendees from the same company would like to share a room, mention this when you reserve. Rooms with two queen beds are subject to availability.
Guest reservations must be cancelled by 3:00pm the day prior to arrival in order to avoid a one-night room charge.
About the Union League Club
The Union League Club is conveniently located in the heart of Chicago’s downtown financial district. The Club offers the ambiance, security, and extraordinary service of a private club, paired with the well-appointed guest accommodations, gourmet dining, and extensive athletic facilities of a classic, luxury hotel. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for all attendees staying at the hotel and during all course sessions.
Dress Code
A relaxed, well-dressed look described as ‘Smart Casual’ is welcomed throughout the Club. Smart Casual may include jeans, denim, and collar-less shirts.
The one exception is the Wigwam restaurant. If you dine there for any lunch or evening meal, the expected attire is Business Casual or better. Business Casual includes a collared shirt (turtleneck included), slacks, or a skirt with a blouse or sweater. Dress denim is not considered Business Casual.
Getting to the Union League Club of Chicago
Public Transit
Public transportation takes about 35 minutes from Midway Airport and about 45 minutes from O’Hare Airport. Transit from the airport costs $5.00 or less.
Both the ‘L’ train Blue Line from O’Hare and the Orange Line from Midway drop you off very close to the Club. Visit the Chicago Transit Authority website to plan your trip.
Driving
The Club is approximately 30 minutes and 10.9 miles from Midway Airport, and approximately 50 minutes and 17.5 miles from O’Hare Airport, depending on traffic.
Rideshare
A rideshare from either Chicago airport typically costs $50 or more.
Parking
For your convenience, the Union League Club offers both valet and self-parking. Valet parking is available at the Federal Street entrance. Self-parking is available at the garage on the northwest corner of Federal and Van Buren. Special rates are available for guests with tickets that are validated at the Front Desk.
