George L. Salis

George L. Salis is the Chief Economist and Senior Tax Policy Director at Vertex, Inc., where he leads fiscal and tax economics and analyzes tax, trade regulations, and global policy trends. He also monitors changes in tax laws and policies that affect global business and represents Vertex before intergovernmental organizations and tax administrations worldwide.

He received both the Advanced Certificate in EU Law from the Academy of European Law at the European University Institute in Florence and the Executive Certificate in Economic Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Dr. Salis holds the LLB(Honours), an LLM in International Taxation, a PhD in International Law and Economic Policy, and the SJD in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is a Certified Business Economist (CBE) from the National Association for Business Economics (NABE U.S. Charter).
