Saskatchewan Increases Provincial State Tax Rate to 6%
Effective March 23, 2017, the Canadian province of Saskatchewan increased its provincial sales tax rate. Other changes in excise, property and income taxes were also included in the provisions.
Canadian Provincial Sales Tax Decrease
The Saskatchewan Government announced the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) will drop from seven to five per cent, effective 28, October, 2006. The Provincial Sales Tax applies to the purchase, importation, or rental of certain goods and services. (http://www.gov.sk.ca/finance/revenue/pst/pst.htm)
