We have been experiencing a wave of growth at the Sales Tax Institute and Yetter Tax! With an increasing number of students and clients, we have been lucky enough to add some new members to our team. Please join me in welcoming Sam Hughes, Selina Kolaj, and Brody Melia to our team here at Yetter Consulting Services and Sales Tax Institute!
Sam joined us on January 2, 2023 as a Financial Operations Specialist in the administrative department. Sam will be responsible for handling all our company bookkeeping and financial management tasks. She is replacing Laura Mulopulos who previously worked in this role as a 3rd party vendor.
Prior to joining Yetter Tax, she worked for Ground Control Research as the Financial and Administrative Specialist and was responsible for operational vendor management, overseeing end-to-end payroll and benefits management, ensuring Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks were completed efficiently and effectively, and reviewing and managing financial data to ensure budget accuracy. She implemented and managed organizational finance and administration procedures resulting in greater accuracy and standardization across the company.
Sam went to high school in South Carolina where she met her husband. She and her husband, along with their three children, live in Nebraska. When not working, she can be found in her garden or in her kitchen cooking. She and her family enjoy being outdoors, swimming and hiking, and they love travelling.
Brody Melia joined us on January 16, 2023 as a Marketing Intern. Among Brody’s roles will be fostering growth within the Sales Tax Nerd Community, contributing to our newsletters, and creating graphic and video content for both promotional and educational purposes – including adding to our on-demand webinar collection. He is pursuing a degree in Creative Advertising as a junior at Loyola University Chicago. With a passion for all things creative, Brody aims to bring a new voice and images to the Marketing Team!
Prior to joining Sales Tax Institute, he worked at the Loyola Department of Fine and Performing Arts as a Marketing and Communications Content Associate. There, he wrote promotional material and email newsletters for their events. Originally from Westmont, Illinois, Brody enjoys being outside, listening to music, and spending time with his dog, Copper.
Selina Kolaj joined us on December 14, 2022 as a Marketing Intern. Selina is responsible for managing our social media, updating the Sales Tax Institute website with the most recent tips from our sales tax experts, and helping to analyze marketing metrics to ensure we are meeting our students’ needs.
Concurrent with joining the team at the Sales Tax Institute, Selina is a senior at Loyola University Chicago with triple majors of Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, and Marketing! She previously partnered with a Chicago start-up organization to construct a survey and identify growth opportunities for the company in her Marketing Research class and worked with groups of students to mock new campaigns for trending companies in other courses. Selina led these projects with her strong communication skills, impeccable work ethic, and innovative thinking.
Selina is originally from Monroe, New York but currently lives in Chicago. When she’s not working or studying, she can be found babysitting her nephews, trying a new restaurant, listening to any musical genre, or spending time with friends and family.
