Council on State Taxation (COST) The Council on State Taxation is the premier state tax organization representing taxpayers. COST is a non-profit trade association consisting of nearly 600 multistate corporations engaged in interstate and international business. The primary objective is to preserve and promote equitable and nondiscriminatory state and local taxation of multi-jurisdiction business entities. As a member of COST, you will receive continuing education and training, legislative/regulatory advocacy and monitoring, networking opportunities with other state tax professionals, COST On-Line Information Network (COIN), COST Studies and Special Reports, COST Publications and Other Communications, Attorney/Consultant Referral Service, and many other important activities of COST.
The Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) The Institute for Professionals in Taxation is a non-profit educational association serving over 4,400 members representing approximately 1,450 corporations, firms, or taxpayers throughout the United States and Canada. Arizona Tax Arizona Tax provides information on all areas of Arizona taxation, including sales, use, property, state income, including residency and unitary, city sales and various others. It covers judicial and administrative decisions, legislation, new and amended regulations, informal tax rulings, and all other sources of information in this field, including unpublished decisions. It also serves as a forum for raising issues, discussing audit positions and activities of the Arizona taxing authorities and anything similar.

Chicago Tax Club The Chicago Tax Club, organized in 1933, is a nonprofit association consisting of individual tax professionals employed by corporations and other businesses. The principal function of our organization is providing educational and networking events, in order to assist our members in identifying and resolving tax compliance, planning and audit issues relating to their employers. The Club is dedicated to the professional development of our members, promoting an interchange of ideas and mutual assistance among members and providing the opportunity to participate in accredited continuing professional education programs (CPE and CLE). The Club also fosters the highest standards of integrity, competence and professional ethics and it recognizes that an atmosphere of mutual trust and confidence must prevail among the membership, other tax professionals, employers and government tax administrators.
Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois The Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois is the state’s most respected non-partisan state and local tax and fiscal policy advocacy organization. The organization conducts policy research, educates public officials and opinion leaders on current issues, advocates for a responsible tax structure that encourages economic growth in the state, and supports efficient delivery of government services. Created to serve Illinois’ citizens in 1940, TFI has been integrally involved in all major Illinois tax and fiscal policy discussions for over 75 years.
Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency DSIRE is the most comprehensive source of information on incentives and policies that support renewables and energy efficiency in the United States. Established in 1995, DSIRE is operated by the N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center at N.C. State University and is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
