She was chosen to be on the tax team at her company, and just after six months, she knew she wanted to stay in sales tax no matter what. She has recently had more opportunities to train members of her tax team, make resource guides, and implement best practices for them.

Xhulia is a Senior Accountant at Turner Construction. Coming from an educational background in Albania, she had not been introduced to this niche of corporate finance. She was exposed to sales tax compliance once she moved to the United States and immediately struck her as something that would never be boring because it is so dynamic. She is especially interested in the legal aspects of sales tax and anything we see in our current environment has sales tax implications.

Wendy is the Tax and Government Compliance Manager at Hill Petroleum. Wendy was thrown into the world of sales tax as she discovered that her company was taking a lot of shortcuts. She dove into the world of sales tax working alongside an auditor to get sales tax cleaned up and in order for her company. Wendy loves puzzles, so she was happy to take on the challenge of handling all things sales tax, and now she can’t imagine doing anything else!

Nathan Yoder is the CAS Sales Tax Specialist at Adams Brown, LLC. Nathan started out doing sales tax simply because it had to be done, but the more he did it the more he enjoyed the numbers aspect of it. Once he realized a sales tax expert was a need for his company and that he had fun doing it, he saw a passion worth pursuing. With a growing team, Nathan has taken on the responsibility of creating materials to educate his team on the complexities of sales tax.
